Coconut cream is the processed milk extracted from fresh matured coconuts. Made from the solid kernel of the mature coconut fruit, creamed coconut is a 100% pure vegetable product and has no additives or artificial flavours. It is used in a wide range of foods and can also be used in the manufacture of bakery products and for flavouring food stuff. Processed and packed coconut cream has a shelf life of six months and once opened it should be stored in a refrigerator for subsequent use.
